TRANSFORMA THINK TANK explores the role of artistic production in the sustainable development of cities, and the economic and leadership potential of the creative/cultural sector, stimulating exchange between the various creative sector stakeholders, such as academics, policy-makers, brand owners and media owners, and of course creative professionals and practitioners across all disciplines.

How can artistic practice and creativity participate in the development of sustainable production that is capable of promoting the competitiveness of a city, a region or a country?

With the help of an extensive network of expert collaborators and a particular focus on the suggested conceptual framework, this TTT will be focused on the creation of a concrete proposal for the development of a major Art event for the Public Space, defining its key purposes, values, beliefs and principles.

Facilitators: HENRY LYDIATE (UK) and ELIZABETH LYDIATE (UK)

Henry Lydiate (UK) _ Henry Lydiate is an arts lawyer, manager, educationalist and strategist. He has thirty years’ experience of international business consultancy work in the creative arts and culture sector and in other content-led industries. He also has an extensive experience as a public speaker, lecturer and trainer, writer and journalist. His work is recognised nationally and internationally. Most recently Henry Lydiate was appointed as Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts in London.

Liz Lydiate (UK) _ Founder and director of Professional Practical Courses for the Design Business Association’s she has also conceived several programmes for the MA/Postgraduate Diploma Design Management at the University of the Creative Arts in London. She is also the founder of the Enterprise Management for the Creative Arts MA in that same university. After ten years as Programme Director she now runs her own consultancy practice. She also works as External Examiner and Specialist Subject Reviewer.
