Art Projects in the Public Space
June 17th to July 16th

The aim of this project is to re-think the city by recreating memories and meanings while simultaneously recovering the singular character of the places involved in it. We are also committed in stimulating the development of artistic work that carries out practices and forms of relation with the urban landscape and with the social tissue. The project’s core strategy is to research, experiment and promote new ways of intervention in the public space, taking into consideration aspects such as regeneration, good environmental practices and sustainable development.
In this context and in collaboration with the IMAGINE2020 Art and Climate Change Network, Transforma unveils a new event in partnership with several creators and organizations that will take place between June 15th and July 16th in Torres Vedras, Lisbon and Porto. One of the projects, for instance, is a partnership with the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto, in an attempt to develop further their Transformations project.
